CER - Claim, Evidence, Reasoning
The CER strategy complements LiSC by enhancing critical thinking and answer-writing skills. It also has three key steps:
Claim
Students state the main answer to the question clearly.
Evidence

Reasoning
Students explain how the evidence supports the claim, linking it to scientific concepts.
This approach improves open-ended answers while developing problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
LiSC and CER create a complete learning system that integrates understanding and application. LiSC builds connections between scientific concepts, while CER develops clear and logical expression. Together, they prepare students for exams and empower them to tackle complex problems with confidence.
